Welcome to the European Synchrotron and Free Electron Laser User Organisation
ESUO, the European Synchrotron and Free Electron Laser User Organisation offers to represent all users of synchrotron and free electron-laser facilities in Europe. Such state-of-the-art facilities enable various kinds of experiments in fields ranging from physics through life sciences to cultural heritage to be conducted. At present, users from 32 European member states and European associated countries are represented by ESUO national delegates / representatives.

There are around 65 users from 15 institutions running experiments at most European synchrotrons.
Even though there is no national synchrotron organization, most important synchrotron activities are discussed within the Czech and Slovak Crystallographic Association (CSCA). National funding scheme provides grant for the Czech association to the ESRF, while experiments at other synchrotrons are left to the budget of scientists and thus the recent TNA approach was welcome.
