ESUO, the European Synchrotron and Free Electron Laser User Organisation, represents more than 30,000 users of the European synchrotron and free electron laser facilities. At present users from 32 European member states and associated countries (including Israel and Turkey) are represented by ESUO national delegates / representatives.
Our vision is: a thriving European synchrotron and free electron laser user community with equal opportunities of access and participation for all scientists based solely on the scientific merit of their ideas.
Key to this is this is our advocacy and lobbying to support elimination of geographic or financial barriers in user participation, with as simple an access model as practicable.
In conjunction with this ESUO seeks to supporting our constituent national user communities in their national advocacy on behalf of their national user communities for sustainable access to research infrastructures (RI).
